Texas Whitetail Deer Hunts

Double Diamond Outfitters offers fully guided 3 to 5 day hunts for mature Texas whitetails in the famous South Texas Brush Country. All of our ranches have nice lodges where we can accommodate individuals, couples, and groups up to 6 people. We hunt very well managed ranches, with numerous quality deer, where it's not uncommon to see 15 to 30 deer per day while on your hunt. We hunt primarily from box blinds; however, variations include safari style, ground blinds, still hunting and rattling depending on the terrain and time of year. Our Management Hunts are 3 to 4 day hunts where we will typically be hunting a 7, 8, or 9 point buck, to be chosen by your guide, which scores 110" to 140". Our Trophy Hunts are 4 to 5 day hunts where we will be hunting a buck that scores 140" to 200+" and meets the age criteria of the ranch.

Axis Deer, Fallow Deer, Red Stag,  Wildebeest, Eland, Addax, Scimitar and Exotics

Exotics can be hunted year round in Texas. Double Diamond Outfitters offer hunts for common exotics such as axis deer, fallow deer, and blackbuck, and super exotics such as red stag, wildebeest, eland, addax, and scimitar horned oryx. Our exotic packages offer some of the highest quality animals and can easily be tailored for whatever type of animal you desire. With great animals and accommodations, these hunts are perfect for the first time hunter, father and child combo, husband and wife combo, or the experienced hunter looking for a new challenge to fill the down time between seasons.

Varmints and Predators

As most of you know, Texas has a lot of hogs! Double Diamond Outfitters have some great ranches to hunt feral hogs. Since hogs are considered non-game animals, they can be hunted year round - day or night. Around the full moon, some of the best hunting is at night over lighted baits. While on your hog hunt, we can call varmints bringing in coyotes, bobcats, fox and badgers (depending on the ranch we are hunting). Since varmints don't get called very often on the ranches we hunt, it is not unusual to call in several different animals on the same setup. These hunts are action packed, so bring plenty of ammo and spend some time at the range before your hunt.

Rio Grande Turkey Hunts

In Texas, the Rio Grande turkey can be hunted during the fall and spring seasons. The fall season runs concurrently with whitetail season and the spring season begins on the weekend of April 1st and normally runs through the second weekend in May. Double Diamond Outfitters has some great ranches to turkey hunt in South and West Texas. Several of the ranches that we turkey hunt are located in Sutton County, where it is not unusual to see 200 turkey throughout the course of the day during the fall season. The success rate on our turkey hunts is normally 100% due to the abundance of turkey and state laws allowing us to harvest more than 1 bird during spring and fall seasons.
