Wes Mundy grew up hunting south and central Texas. Ever since his first day in the field, Wes dreamed of making hunting his career. He has been hunting and guiding hunts for over 25 years on numerous ranches across Texas. Over the past 6 years, Wes has added southwest Colorado to his hunting locations. In 2005, Wes made his childhood dream come true and started Double Diamond Outfitters.
Michael Gutierrez grew up hunting in south and central Texas. Following his interest in the outdoors, he attended the University of North Texas and obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. After earning his Master's Degree in Range and Wildlife Management from Texas A&M University - Kingsville, he became the wildlife biologist and manager of commercial hunting operations for the Rio Piasano Ranch. Currently, Michael owns his own wildlife consulting business based out of San Antonio and consults on a number of private properties, trust properties, and leases from Ft. Worth to Brownsville to Ozona.
Brutus is a "Blue" Lacy, the State Dog of Texas, and was born on the Espejo Ranch between Laredo and Catarina. He's very friendly, has a great temperament, and loves to be out in the woods . Brutus and Wes have been working together for about a year and have quickly formed a great bond and working partnership and are rarely seperated. Like most Lacy's he's got a great nose and is really turning into a great tracking dog. If you shoot it, he'll find it!
